Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use dohma, a paint color consultation tool operated by Dohma Technologies LLC and offered through independent paint shops. By using dohma you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use dohma.

What dohma is

dohma helps you and your local paint shop pick paint colors for your home. You upload a photo and answer a few questions. dohma suggests palettes from real paint products carried by the shop. The output is a starting point. Always test the colors on the actual surface, in your own light, before committing to a full purchase.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and details you submit. By using dohma, you consent to Dohma Technologies LLC processing your image, project information, color selections, and related inputs to generate paint and color visualizations, recommendations, project guidance, and related decision-support outputs, and to operate, troubleshoot, secure, evaluate, and improve the service. You also give dohma and the paint shop you are working with permission to use that content to generate your consultation and share it with the shop's team.

Only upload photos that you own or have the right to share. Do not upload photos of people without their permission, and do not include sensitive personal information in the free-text fields.

Marketing

We will not use your photo, home image, name, address, email, phone number, or other personal information in public marketing or case studies without your separate, written permission.

Any such permission is affirmative and separate from ordinary use of the service. You can give dohma and/or your paint shop permission to use before/after images, a project description, a testimonial, or your name in marketing, and declining does not affect your consultation.

Color and product guidance

Paint colors look different on a screen than on a real wall. Sheens, substrates, lighting, weather, surface texture, paint base, product application, the information available, and other factors all affect the final result. dohma's suggestions are recommendations, not guarantees. Buy sample sizes, paint them on the actual surface, and look at them in morning, midday, and evening light before placing a full order.

Product availability, pricing, and stock are determined by the paint shop, not by dohma.

Acceptable use

Do not use dohma to:

• Submit content you do not have the right to share.
• Interfere with, scrape, or attempt to break the service.
• Resell or rebrand dohma without written permission.
• Impersonate another person or shop.

Links and expiration

Your consultation lives at a private link. Anyone with the link can view it. Links expire after 90 days. After expiration, the shared view may no longer be available.

No warranty

dohma is provided as-is. We do not warrant that color matches will be exact, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that any specific paint product will perform as expected on your home.

Liability

To the extent allowed by law, dohma is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including the cost of repainting or redecorating based on a recommendation. Our total liability for any claim related to dohma is limited to the amount you paid us for the service, which for most customers is zero.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the exclusive venue for any dispute relating to these terms or to dohma will be the state and federal courts located in California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes

We may update these terms as dohma evolves. The effective date at the top of this page tells you the most recent version. Continued use of dohma after a change means you accept the new terms.
